This event brings together professionals and academics to discuss the interconnection between language, health, and well-being. It focuses on the social, cultural, historic and linguistic significance of these interconnections, as practiced by the peoples of Asia and the Pacific. Of particular interest are contemporary issues such as the form and function of language in medical practice, health-care services, literacy, education, and health policy.
